135ac Farm Land in Barclay, MD (Queen Anne's Co)
Another property in QAC...this one is a QDM based property too with some seriously nice trophy bucks to be had. And the landowner does ALL of the work to provide them to us.
Access to the land is going to be right off of Cosden Rd. From there the hunters can use ATV to gain access to the rest of the property or go in by foot. There will be NO recreational use of ATV on the proeprty at all. Only to be used for bringing in/our game and equipment. The main food source is going to be AG fields on and around the property along with natually occuring vegetation. The owner is allowing for feeders to be used for for deer hutning only. There will be no need for food plots to be planted on this lease. The main water source is going to be an unnamed stream that runs the entire eastern border of the lease as well as a few other stream and ponds near by. As for pressure and quality of deer, the landowner has put a lot of work into making this a QDM property and producing nice trophy bucks. But he alo want to make sure that the doe population is kept in check too and is relying on the hunters picking up this lease to ensure that happens. If it is not happening, then the landowner reserves the right to harvest them at the end of the season.
There are no access/weapon restictions on this lease beyond DNR regulations. As for harvest restrictions, the owner has requested that only mature bucks be harvested off of this property; 2.5yrs old and with a 15" inside spread or better. Other than that he has also requeted no rabbit hunting either. The owner has also capped this lease to no more than (8) hunters to be on the lease with no more than (5) hunters actively hunting at any one time.
The cost of the lease is going to be $9,700/yr and this does include a hunters insurance policy from Outdoor Underwriters. A 50% non-refundable deposit locks this in with the balance due by the end of April. Use the discount code DEPOSIT for this option. And any hunters picking up this lease will have first right of refusal to renew this lease for following seasons.
